Massage therapy offers a drug-free, non-invasive and humanistic approach based on the body’s natural ability to heal itself. There are myriad benefits to massage and you can read all about them HERE.

Except on infants and children, the type of massage I do would be considered more of a deep tissue massage, working with the muscles and fascia on a deeper level than you would experience with “relaxation” massage. I don’t do the long, light, flowing strokes that are associated with a traditional relaxation massage, but I do ensure that I am not using so much pressure that you want to jump off the table as this would negate any benefits from the treatment.

If you are looking for a light touch, relaxation massage, I am happy to refer you to other excellent massage therapists in town who specialize in this type of treatment.

therapeutic massage

Therapeutic Massage can work wonders on the places you hold your tension.  Chronic stress, tension and pain don’t have to be a part of your life.  This massage focuses on the muscles, tendons and fascia underlying the surface layer of muscle, releasing the concentrated tension with slow strokes and deep pressure. Once released, the muscles are able to get proper blood flow and oxygenation.  This technique may leave you with a little soreness right afterwards, but you’re sure to feel better and more relaxed than you have in a long time.

raindrop massage

The Raindrop Massage is a unique practice based on methods that have been used for centuries to rejuvenate the body and mind. Inspired by the Native American tradition of observing the northern lights while inhaling the affirming aroma of nearby conifer trees, the Raindrop Massage helps bring balance and harmony to the body by combining targeted massage and distinctive energy approaches. It also includes pure, therapeutic-grade essential oils to create an atmosphere of spirituality and serenity. This therapy has a unique way of harmonizing, rejuvenating, relaxing, and aligning the body and mind.

Prenatal Massage

Nurture yourself and your baby with this full body massage for the expecting mother. Learn to relax as you prepare for your baby’s birth.  This massage relaxes the body and mind, easing tense muscles, reducing soreness in weight-bearing joints, reducing swelling in the legs, ankles and feet, while providing the emotional support that nurturing touch brings. CST is incorporated into this session. 60 or 90 minutes.
